The beta test of the TrackMania Demo is intended to find and correct the incompatibility problems that may arise on different PC configurations. This version will offer players the opportunity to connect to and participate in Internet multiplayer games using a dedicated server during the beta test period.

Content of the demo Beta test version :
This version will offer the following features :
   TRACK BUILDING :
          - One environment (3 environments in final release)
          - Number and types of blocks are limited

SOLO MODE :
          - Challenges (track building + racing)
          - Races (unlock new races by beating the best time records)

HOT SEAT MODE
          - Easily create a track and compete on the same PC, up to 4 players (in this version)

LAN mode
          - Compete against other players in LAN mode on unlocked tracks or on your own tracks.

INTERNET (dedicated server)
          - Compete against other connected beta testers on the game tracks or your own tracks.



AVAILABILITY OF THE DEMO BETA TEST VERSION :
This demo Beta test version will be available for download around the 22nd of October. The size of the file should not be over 50Mb.
The link to download the demo will be sent by e-mail to all subscribers.



DEMO BETA TEST INSTALLATION :
This demo has a classic installation program.
You won't need a serial key number to access to the multiplayer mode.



REQUIREMENTS :
The aim of this beta test is to check the games reactions in real conditions. Whatever your configuration is, just test this version and send your report to report@nadeo.com.



Internet :
TrackMania has been created to run with both low and high speed internet connections. So whatever your Internet connection, just play the game on the Internet server and send your report to report@nadeo.com.



DirectX :
TrackMania runs with Directx 9.0b. If you have an older version installed on your computer, please update it to DirectX 9.0b version.
You can check the installed DirectX version by consulting your DXDIAG. To get your Dxdiag, please click on " Start ", " execute ", write " dxdiag " on the text zone and click " OK ".

Graphics Card Drivers :
please note that the game will work better with the latest video card drivers. You can play the game with your actual drivers if you want (we'll be interested by that on your report), but a driver update may be necessary for the game to work properly if you encounter some display problems.
To find the latest video card drivers, please check your card manufacturers website.

Attached document : LOG file
When playing TrackMania Beta Test Demo version, the software automatically creates a .log file.
Those files contain information about your computer, windows version, drivers… and all other information needed to understand and correct the last game problems.
Note: This information will ONLY be used for this beta test and to make the final demo & full version of the game work well.
The log file(s) are generated in the game installation folder (by default : c:/Program Files/TrackManiaDemoBeta/)
